How To Get Here:

The nearest train station is Manchester Piccadilly. From here there is a frequent bus service that takes around 20 minutes. Take the Fairfield St exit, towards the back of the station (signed “local buses”). The bus stop is immediately on your right-hand side, on the same side of the road. You may see the taxi stand on the left as you come out of the station. Then follow the bus directions below.

By Bus– From Piccadilly Station

Take bus number 201, 203, 205, or 206 from Manchester City Centre and get off at Reddish Bridge (see bus stop symbol on the map above) or ask for Debdale Park. The 201 and 203 go directly down Hyde Road whereas the 205 and 206 take a slightly more scenic route via Gorton Market. The bus service is operated by Stagecoach Manchester and run approximately every ten minutes. For local public transport information contact Transport for Greater Manchester: 0871 200 22 33.

Once you are off the bus, continue walking up Hyde road in the direction of the bus route until you see Mcdonalds on your left-hand side. Take the windy path on the left-hand side through Mcdonalds, towards Debdale Park. Cross over the road at the end of the path and Debdale Park is towards the right through the small car park.

From this side entrance to the park, go through the gates and take the path along, bearing left until you see a small side path with the entrance sign ‘Debdale Park Office’ just inside. Walk past the ‘Debdale Park’ sign (with the blue portable cabins on your right-hand side) and down a slight hill. Debdale Eco Centre is on the right-hand side, in the portable cabins by the wall of the courtyard.

By Cycle

The Fallowfield Loop, part of the Manchester Cycleway, runs from Chorlton, (via Whalley Range, Fallowfield and Levenshulme) finishing in Fairfield and is an excellent way to access Debdale Eco Centre.
By Car From Manchester City Centre

Follow A6 signposted Stockport, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit signposted A57 Sheffield. Drive for about 3 miles, turn left onto Wall Way when you see signs for McDonalds and Holiday Inn. The main car park for Debdale Park is on the right. At the right-hand side of the car park is a swing gate. From this side entrance to the park, go through the gates and take the path along, bearing left until you see a small side path with the entrance sign ‘Debdale Park Office’ just inside. Walk past the ‘Debdale Park’ sign (with the blue portable cabins on your right-hand side) and down a slight hill. Debdale Eco Centre is on the right-hand side, in the portable cabins by the wall of the courtyard.
