Lowcountry VegFest, South Carolina 2018 – United States
October 20, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC-4
Free
The Palmetto Plant Eaters Club will host their third vegan festival (aka VegFest) on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island from 10am to 5pm.
LCVF17 attracted approximately 1,000 attendees from Beaufort County, Charleston & Savannah, as well as from North Carolina and Florida.
Our goal is to teach & show how fun & easy it is to eat & live vegan in the Lowcountry and why you would like to do so for health transformation, compassion for all animals, and carbon footprint reduction.
This event will take place rain or shine. Bring tents & umbrellas if necessary. Entry to the event is free & open to the public. Vendors will sell food & merchandise directly.
• Please bring one non-perishable, non-expired vegan food item to donate to Sandalwood Food Pantry in lieu of an event entry fee. Sandalwood will be collecting these donations at their booth just beyond the welcome table. Great ideas are pasta, rice, beans, canned fruit, cereal, boxed plant-based milk, crackers, peanut butter, jam, condiments, oatmeal, and grits.
• If you would like to purchase vegan beer or wine at the event, please have your ID checked at the welcome table and obtain a wristband. Alcohol will be sold only to those wearing an event wristband.
• Shelter Cove Community Park is a public park and pet-friendly. Please be mindful that there will be children, dogs for adoption, food, and a pet pig at the event. All visiting pets must be on a leash and under full control. Please clean up after your pet.

Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of and cruelty toward animals for food, clothing, labor, entertainment, or any other purposes. Vegan food does not contain meat/flesh from any animal, eggs, animal milk, animal milk-derived products like whey, or honey. Vegan foods are made from fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds.
