November 3, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC-5Free
Join us at the fourth annual Hampton Roads Veg Fest, presented by Smithfield Pig Save. We’ll be celebrating plant-based fare and cruelty-free living and inspiring the community of Southeastern Virginia to make kinder, greener and healthier choices.
This yearly festival brings together thousands of vegans, vegetarians, and curious omnivores alike to feast on delicious plant-based food, hear from diverse speakers, shop eco-friendly products, and enjoy some of the region’s best entertainers. With dozens of 100% vegan food vendors, yoga, bands, an interactive kids’ zone, a beer garden, exhibitors galore, you’ll find something you love at Hampton Roads VegFest. Admission is completely FREE!
This event is family-friendly, with special activities geared towards our younger compassionate friends.
Last year, we had over 5,000 attendees–let’s top that this year!
Hampton Roads, Virginia, is a gem when it comes to vegan eating. There is much to celebrate from the dozens of restaurants in Norfolk’s Ghent dishing up vegan pizza, froyo, and burritos to the organic eateries at the beach and vegan caterers and baked goods only a phone call away. That’s why in late 2015, a small group of people scattered throughout the area joined together to pursue a common goal: putting on the biggest celebration of plant-based fare in the region.
Spearheaded by Smithfield Pig Save, a local non-profit organisation promoting compassion for pigs and other animals used for their flesh, the inaugural 2016 VegFest was a hit. Thousands converged on Festival Center at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to dine on delicious food, shop local goods, meet movers and shakers from the animal advocacy movement, rock out to local musicians, and learn about vegan eating.
Hampton Roads VegFest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
