DC VegFest, the East Coast’s Largest Vegan Festival, Returns to Yards Park.
Free Event Welcomes Vegans, Pre-Vegans, Dogs, Kids. Compassion Over Killing is proud to present DC VegFest 2018 on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 11am – 6pm in the nation’s capital. DC VegFest is a free festival of food, music, education, inspiration, and fun hosted outdoors at DC’s beautiful Yards Park.
More than 20,000 festival-goers – vegans and pre-vegans alike – are expected to explore the many joys and flavors of plant-based foods, as well as discover how leaving meat off our plates helps to protect our health, the planet, and animals.

- Since this is an outdoor event, leashed dogs are welcome! We have a Barking Lot so dogs can have shade and a drink.
This event features renowned speakers and expert chefs whipping up culinary creations on the main stage; a Kids’ Zone with interactive activities; live entertainers in the music tent; more than 130 vendors (many of which offer free food samples); a beer garden, and so much more. Dogs are welcome (must be leashed) in our shaded Barking Lot.

Delicious plant-based cuisine will be dished out by dozens of restaurant and food vendors, with free samples galore to tempt your taste buds. More than 100 nonprofit and commercial exhibitors will also be setting up shop for the day.
