Alaska VegFest 2017 United States

We are making wonderful progress on the programming for our 2017 VegFest! We have 3 of our 4 speakers lined up and we on track to start taking early registrations the end of April.

Research shows that people eating a whole foods plant-based diet live longer, healthier lives and in many cases can even reverse the effects of many of the chronic diseases plaguing Alaskan’s today.

The theme for this years Alaska VegFest: The Transformative Power of Eating Plants
This year’s speakers: We are flying in 4 wonderful speakers:

Ocean Robbins – Ocean Robbins is co-founder and CEO of the Food Revolution Network, which is a global community of more than 350,000 members standing up for healthy, sustainable, humane and delicious food for all.

2 Alaskan Speakers who’s personal lives were transformed by eating a plant-based diet after taking one of Delisa Renideo’s Nutrition and Cooking Classes.

Father Fred Bugarin – Began moving toward a plant-based diet in September 2011. Within the first 6 months he was off his diabetes medications, blood pressure came down and lost 40 pounds! “This lifestyle has broadened and deepened my consciousness and understanding of how my life choices fit into my spirituality and ministry; in effect, a whole life-style with a broader and deepened awareness.”

Anna Luby – November 17, 2009 Anna was 70 pounds over weight and had just been diagnosed with diabetes. She was working in a kidney dialysis center and knew about the horrible complications of having diabetes. Anna started her journey into eating a plant-based diet on March 2, 2010. Now she is back to her petite college weight and has reversed her diabetes!

Delisa Renideo – MC of Alaska VegFest, President of the Alaska Vegan Society and teaches whole, plant food nutrition & cooking courses as part of her business, Yes To Life Solutions.

A delicious, 100% Plant-based lunch is included in the admission price. Lunch will be catered by Middle Way Cafe. (There will be gluten-free options for those wanting to avoid gluten.)

Cooking Demonstration:
Delisa Renideo (president of the Alaska Vegan Society and plant-based nutrition & cooking instructor) will be doing an informative and entertaining cooking demo and of course you will get to taste what she makes.

Door Prizes:
Throughout the day we will be drawing names for door prizes, after each break
and some lucky person will win the grand prize of a Plant-based Nutrition & Cooking Course…
