Who is the Organiser? Satvik Vegan Society (formerly Indian Vegan Society), a member of International Vegetarian Union (IVU) and Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO). SVS has been organising vegan festivals in addition to other activities since its inception in 2004.

Where is the Venue? Sthitaprajna (Simplicity-Solitude-Silence), Hoseri, Yeljit Village, BYNDOOR – 576214, Udupi Dist., Karnataka, India.

Why the Sthitaprajna venue? From our experience, we have learnt that most vegans love to be in nature. Sthitaprajna is a private forest, grown on vegan principles on a plot of about 3 acres of land near the hills. The land runs along a seasonal stream. The location of the venue is about 12kms from Byndoor on the West Coast of Karnataka in South India, 450kms west of Bangalore and 200kms south of Goa. It is a beautiful place relatively free of pollution (water, air, noise, light and human), close to nature and away from busy city life.

Why these dates? This is the best time of the year here when nature is vibrant with lots of greenery and water.

Who can attend? Anyone who is vegan or who believes in the principles of veganism can attend with advance registration.
